Child Protection and Safeguarding
At Clare’s learning Club we believe all children have an absolute right to a childhood free from abuse, neglect or exploitation. All adults involved in our activities have a duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children we work with.
We work closely with schools and trained professionals to ensure our programmes are delivered safely. All staff have receive training in safeguarding and child protection before being allocated the role of a teacher at Clare’s Learning Club. This includes understanding why safeguarding matters, being able to identify different types of abuse, becoming familiar with Clare’s Learning Club’s code of conduct and knowing how to respond to a suspicion or allegation.

Health and Safety
There are numerous important elements to consider when it comes to ensuring that the children, the teacher and if applicable the parent or child volunteer are kept safe at the Clare’s Learning Club. These elements are outlined in our Health and Safety Policy.

Insurance and DBS checks
Each individual teacher at Clare's Learning Club holds an enhanced DBS check which you are welcome to ask to see a copy of, along with £10m of Public Liability Insurance, £100,000 of Professional Indemnity Insurance and Legal Expenses cover which is renewed annually.
